AT&T lags behind rivals in releasing the Galaxy S24 One UI 7 update

It's a familiar story for AT&T subscribers in the United States. Despite being one of the largest carriers in the country, it has a reputation for being among the last to roll out major updates for Samsung phones.

As Samsung released the One UI 7 update in the United States on April 10, carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile took the lead and sent out the update to their subscribers. AT&T on the other hand has kept its customers waiting.

Samsung did eventually end up halting the One UI 7 release due to bugs. The company has said that it's going to resume the roll out in the near future, with some reports suggesting that we may see that happening as early as today.

However, AT&T hadn't sent out the update even before the plug was pulled on it. Its subscribers are taking to platforms like Reddit to express their displeasure. There's no saying when the carrier will release the Galaxy S24 One UI 7 update after Samsung ultimately resumes the roll out.

It's got to be frustrating for people who've already had to wait for an unnecessarily long time as Samsung took its sweet time in getting One UI 7 ready. Now they must suffer another agonizing wait at the hands of their carrier.

There's no saying how long AT&T may take to send this update out for the Galaxy S24, with some estimating that they may have to wait until the end of this month. What's to say there won't be similar delays with all eligible One UI 7 devices that AT&T ultimately has to update.
