BUBLUE launches BuHybrid L6, BuVortex V5 smart pool cleaners

BUBLUE is expanding its pool tech lineup with two new robots designed to automate pool cleaning both above and below the surface. The company has introduced the BuHybrid L6, a robotic pool cleaner that offers both corded and cordless operation, and the BuVortex V5, a surface skimmer built for automated debris removal.

Both devices are now available through Bublue.com and Amazon. The BuHybrid L6 is priced at $1599, while the BuVortex V5 comes in at $369.

The BuHybrid L6 is being marketed as the first robotic pool cleaner to combine plug-in endurance with the flexibility of cordless operation. In cordless mode, it can clean for up to two hours on a full charge. When plugged in, it can run continuously, which may suit larger pools or deeper cleaning sessions.

The device includes four cleaning modes that let it navigate pool floors, walls, waterlines, and uneven surfaces. It uses a combination of sonar, infrared sensors, and onboard AI navigation to map the pool and plan its cleaning route.

According to the company, it uses different movement patterns depending on the surface. It uses an N-pattern for vertical areas and an S-pattern for horizontal ones. The cleaner is equipped with what BUBLUE calls Corner Boost technology. This detects wall edges and makes a second pass for more thorough cleaning. Suction is rated at 2906 gallons per hour, driven by Bluehole Technology, which combines a brushless motor with an optimized impeller design.

A 4-liter filter basket captures large and small debris and can be removed and washed after use. The robot also includes a self-parking feature that guides it to the pool’s edge when the battery runs low. Owners can monitor and control the device through the BUBLUE app, which connects over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and supports remote updates.

BuVortex V5 pool cleaner

Alongside the L6, BUBLUE has also announced the BuVortex V5, a floating surface skimmer designed to automatically clean leaves, dust, and other floating debris. It uses dual motors and the same Bluehole suction system to generate a centripetal water flow during cleaning. This flow creates a vortex that pulls debris from corners and across the surface.

The BuVortex V5 offers two operating modes. One for general cleaning and another optimized for corners and edges. A dual filtration system separates large particles from finer debris using a 5-liter basket and a filtration pad. The robot is also equipped with smart navigation. This helps it avoid getting stuck on pool steps or skimmer areas. Through the BUBLUE app, users can track performance, trigger smart parking, or take manual control with the “Precise Driving” feature.

These launches are part of BUBLUE’s ongoing efforts to bring more intelligence and flexibility to consumer-grade pool maintenance. Both products are available now for summer 2025.
