Galaxy A36 and A56 get Samsung’s AI-based super slow mo video feature

Samsung's flagship phones have an AI feature that lets you easily create slow motion clips from any video using the gallery and video player apps. It's very easy to use, just tap and hold on the screen to save a slow motion clip.

The company is now bringing a similar feature to its mid-range devices that don't have the full Galaxy AI suite. It's made the feature available through the Galaxy Enhance-X app for the Galaxy A36 and the Galaxy A56, as well as select Galaxy M series devices.

Samsung's Enhance-X app brings a variety of AI-powered media enhancement features to mid-range devices. This includes removing blur, reflections, and adding creative edits to media already stored in the gallery.

It has now updated the app with the ability to create slow motion clips from existing videos. Users who have an eligible Samsung mid-range device can add dramatic slow-mo effects to any video on their device, even if it was not originally captured in slow motion.

This can be done much in the same way the integrated feature works on flagship phones. Just tap and hold on the screen when the video is playing to start a slow-mo clip and lift the finger once the desired length is achieved. Up to three slow motion clips can be extracted from one video.

Version 15.2.17 of the Galaxy Enhance-X app is now live and available for download from the Galaxy Store.
