Galaxy A56 can’t boot up after Gemini update? Try this fix

At the beginning of May, Samsung released a firmware update for the Galaxy A56 that deepened the integration with Google Gemini. The update made it easier for Galaxy A56 users to access Gemini by long-pressing the side key. However, it's not without faults.

Some Galaxy A56 users who received the update in Europe brought an issue to light on the official Community forums (via GalaxyClub). They say that the update has caused the Galaxy A56 to remain stuck on the boot-up screen. Thankfully, someone found a simple solution that seemingly works.

If you are a Galaxy A56 user facing this annoying problem after the Gemini update, you can try these steps:

  • With the phone turned off, remove the SIM card from the Galaxy A56.
  • Reboot the Galaxy A56 and wait. The phone should boot up without a SIM card.
  • Once the phone finishes restarting, you can reinsert the SIM card.

We should note that we haven't faced this issue ourselves after the Galaxy A56 update. As such, we couldn't test this solution.

The problem could affect only specific carriers or might be an issue only in select countries. Either way, a Samsung Community member who posted about this issue last week confirmed that the solution works.

The Gemini update is also rolling out to other Galaxy A phones, but we haven't seen any reports about them facing this problem.
