Galaxy Buds Core still has an important feature despite lower price

Samsung might soon launch its cheapest Galaxy Buds ever. They are called the Galaxy Buds Core, and their unusual name was leaked a couple of months ago. It points towards a set of wireless earbuds that are cheaper than the Galaxy Buds FE. Despite its lower price tag, it might have a critical feature and the longest battery life ever.

Recently, the Galaxy Buds Core (SM-R410) was listed on Samsung UAE's website. They look similar to the Galaxy Buds FE and will be available in black and white color variants. They will also feature active noise cancellation (ANC), similar to the Galaxy Buds FE and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. However, its ANC performance might not be as good as on the pricier models.

The Galaxy Buds Core also feature Bluetooth 5.4 and three audio codecs: AAC, SBC, and SSC. While SBC is an inferior codec, AAC and SSC offer higher bitrate audio transmission for better audio quality. The earbuds also feature an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance to a certain degree.

The webpage also revealed that the Galaxy Buds Core can last up to 35 hours on a single charge when ANC is turned off. That is the longest battery life figure Samsung has ever quoted for any Galaxy Buds model. That means they will likely last longer than the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro in real-world testing as well. With ANC turned on, the claimed battery life is 20 hours.

Samsung also listed their dimensions and weight. The earbuds weigh 5.3g each and measure 19.2×17.1×22.2mm, while the charging case (EP-QR410) measures 50x50x27.7mm and weighs 31.2g. The earbuds have a 65mAh battery, while the case holds a battery with a capacity of 500mAh.
