Galaxy S23’s May 2025 security update reaches India

Samsung has released a new software update to the international variants of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in India. It offers the May 2025 security patch, which fixes security issues mentioned here.

It carries firmware version S91xBXXS8DYDB and is 476.33MB in size, as you can see in the screenshot below. To get it, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also get it from our firmware section.

Samsung released the Galaxy S23’s May 2025 security update in Europe and South Korea last week. We expect the brand to release it to the factory-unlocked and carrier-locked variants of the phones for the US and in other regions in the next few days.

Earlier today, Samsung opened the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S25 series in Europe. We expect the brand to offer it to the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S23 series soon. You can check out the features it offers here.
