Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 sometime next month. Ahead of the official unveiling of those foldable phones, a lot of information about them has been leaked, including their processors. Now, information about the Galaxy Z Fold 7's wireless charging has leaked, as it seems to have appeared with the Qi 2.1.0 certification.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 probably has Qi2 rating for wireless charging
A unannounced Samsung device with model number SM-D637U was spotted (via 9To5Google) in the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) database yesterday. Samsung doesn't use the SM-Dxxx series as model numbers for phones. However, it used SM-D617D in the past to hide the Galaxy Z Fold 5's model number (SM-F946B). So, the SM-D637U is most likely the SM-F967U, which is the USA carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The supporting document reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 features Qi 2.1.0 certification. It is Samsung's first foldable phone with ‘Qi2 Ready' certification and needs cases with built-in magnets for the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP). The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a 4,400mAh battery and supports 25W fast wired charging, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
What is Qi2 Ready wireless charging?

Qi2 Ready is a variant of Qi2 that doesn't require alignment magnets to be built into the phone's body. Instead, Qi2 Ready devices need a phone case/cover with built-in magnets for proper alignment. And they top out at 15W wireless charging.
While Samsung is said to be working on significantly faster wireless charging speeds, the technology hasn't come to any Galaxy phone yet. Samsung is now involved in developing the Qi 2.2 standard. The South Korean firm said its new wireless charging chip, the S2MIW06, supports up to 50W fast wireless charging speeds.
