Gemini gets more powerful with scheduled actions; available for Galaxy devices

Gemini is one of the most important apps on Galaxy devices running One UI 7.0. It integrates deeply with Samsung's stock apps, making them more powerful and accessible. Now, Gemini is getting even more powerful with a feature that lets you schedule actions.

At the Google I/O event a few days ago, Google announced dozens of new features for Gemini. But the company isn't done yet, as it has announced a new feature for it called Scheduled Actions. It lets you automate certain tasks and receive personalized updates. You can ask Gemini to perform a task at a specific day, date, and time. You can also transform a prompt into a recurring action.

You can access this feature simply through text or voice commands and manage all the scheduled actions by accessing the new page dedicated to it in the Android app.

Google says you can use it to create a summary of your calendar entries and tasks for the day in the morning so that you have a better idea of what the rest of your day looks like. You can also get an update on how your favorite sport team is performing.

This feature is currently only available for those who are subscribed to Google's Gemini AI Pro and Gemini AI Ultra plans. The Gemini AI Pro plan costs $20 per month and offerts 2TB of storage, but Samsung bundled its six-month plan for free with all Galaxy S25 series devices. So, if you bought a Galaxy S25, you can access scheduled actions as a part of your Gemini AI Pro plan.

It would be terrific if Samsung integrates Gemini with more of its apps, especially Modes and Routines. Combined with Modes and Routines, Gemini could be an extremely powerful tool that lets you accomplish almost everything on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet.
