Samsung expanded its tablet lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ recently. These are competitively priced variants within the latest tablet lineup that aim to provide a good value for money.
These are also the first tablets from Samsung that ship with One UI 7 Android 15 out of the box. We've created a video to highlight the first impressions of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ and the One UI 7 experience on tablets.
Our first impressions of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+
We've come away impressed with the design of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, specifically its build quality, which Samsung has improved over the predecessor. It feels premium and sturdy so there shouldn't be any major durability concerns, despite it being thin and lightweight.
On its own, the LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate is good enough for browsing and content consumption, but when you compare it with something like a Galaxy Tab S10+ the difference between the LCD and OLED is clearly visible.
It does feel that this tablet flips the script on the “FE” concept. On FE smartphones, you get hardware that's very close to the primary flagship models. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ feels like a flagship-level tablet with its design and build quality, but its hardware is far from parity with the Galaxy Tab S10 series.
So while there's a clear performance difference, it's good to see that Samsung includes an S Pen in the box and it does everything you'd expect the stylus to do. The software experience is pretty decent, with the tablet being able to run DeX on the device, but you can't run it on an external monitor.
The One UI 7 experience on tablets is quite familiar, with the same separate notification and quick panel. New widgets are there as well and overall, there doesn't seem to be any significant changes to the One UI experience.
