After a long, frustrating wait, the day we have been waiting for is finally here. Samsung has officially kicked off the rollout of the One UI 7 (Android 15) update for Galaxy smartphones.

This isn’t a drill: nearly four months after Samsung launched the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, the company really is ready to roll out the stable update. It is limited to One UI 7.0 beta users as of now.

Official One UI 7 update arrives at long last

The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 are first in line to receive the official update. Later this month, the update will roll out to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, the Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, and the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup.

These devices are getting most of the new features that debuted on the Galaxy S25 series with this update. Flagships launched in 2024 get at least one feature—Audio Eraser—that isn't coming to older devices, but otherwise, the experience for most users will be quite similar.

Once the update is available for your phone and country, you will need to head into the device’s Settings » Software update menu and tap the Download and install button to download it over the air. Android 15 firmware will also be available in the SamMobile firmware archive in the coming days.

There’s no word on when other eligible phones and tablets will get One UI 7. But it won't surprise us if owners of all devices—mid-range and budget ones in particular—except those mentioned above are left waiting until May. Like the flagships, select mid-range devices will go through beta testing before they make the jump to the stable release.
