One UI 7 is now available for Galaxy F55

After a months-long delay, Samsung is swiftly rolling out the One UI 7 update for most of its phones. The Galaxy F55 is the latest mid-range phone to get the Android 16-based update. India seems to be the first country where the update is rolling out to the device.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now available for the Galaxy F55 in India. It comes bearing firmware version E556BXXU4BYE7 and has a download size of around 3.5GB. It also includes the May 2025 security patch that makes the phone more secure than earlier.

If you are a Galaxy F55 user living in India and were waiting for the One UI 7 update, you can now install it. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Then, once the update is downloaded on the phone, tap the Install now button. The device will restart after a few minutes. You can then start using One UI 7 on your Galaxy F55.

Once the firmware is available in our firmware database, you can download it and flash it manually if you have a computer running Windows OS and has the Odin tool installed. However, you need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process and save all your important data and files backed up at a secure location.

The One UI 7 update brings a massively redesigned UI, smoother animations and transitions, improved battery health protection features, new app icons, new widget personalization options, and plenty of new widgets for the home screen and the lock screen. The update also brings new and improved features in all Samsung stock apps.

Samsung has separated Notifications and Quick Panel with two separate pages. However, you can rejoin them in a single page if you like them that way. Notifications now appear bigger with stacked form for multiple notifications from the same app. The Quick Panel is now even more customizable and has the volume slider.

One UI 7 also brings a redesigned Camera app with much better one-handed usability. Samsung has introduced improvements to Alarm, Calendar, and Reminder management. It also introduced Now Bar to display ongoing activities, such as maps navigation, media playback, stopwatch, and timer.
