One UI 7 rollout begins for Galaxy A24

Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy A24. You can read about One UI 7.0 features here. The smartphone is currently getting the update in South Korea, and the new software could reach other countries and regions in the next few days.

This new software brings dozens of new features, improved fluidity, and a new UI design to the lower mid-range phone.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now available for the Galaxy A24 in South Korea. It comes with firmware version A245NKSU6DYE6 and has a download size of around 3GB. The update also includes the May 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure. It would have been better if Samsung had included the latest June 2025 security patch instead.

If you have a Galaxy A24 and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the downloading process is finished, tap the Install now button. The phone will then restarts after a few minutes.

Alternatively, you can download the new firmware file from SamMobile's firmware database. Then, you can flash it manually if you have access to a computer running Windows OS, the Odin tool, and a compatible USB cable. Make sure to back up all your important data and files before initiating the manual firmware flashing process.

The Galaxy A24 was launched in 2023 with Android 13 (One UI 5.1) onboard. Samsung promised to release four major Android OS updates to the phone, and it started with the Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update in late 2023.

After Android 15, the phone will get the Android 16 (One UI 8.0) update in the next few months and the Android 17 (One UI 9.0) update in the second half of 2026. Check out what is new in One UI 8.0 in our video below.
