One UI 7 update rolling out to Galaxy Z Flip 3, Fold 3 in USA

Samsung has released the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the USA. These are the oldest foldable phones from Samsung that are eligible to get the One UI 7.0 update. Previous foldable phones won't get this major update.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is rolling out for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the USA. Currently the update is available for the carrier-locked units of the phones, starting with those on Verizon's network. The update comes with firmware version F711USQUBKYD9 for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and version F926USQUAKYD9 for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The update has a download size of around 5GB and includes the April 2025 security patch. If you have carrier-locked models of any of these phones in the USA, you can check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install.

The new software update was released in South Korea earlier this week. Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 units on other network carriers in the USA could get the update soon. The new update could also be released in other countries and regions in the comind days and weeks.

Android 15 is the last major update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Both foldable phones were launched in the second half of 2021 with Android 11 onboard. They received the Android 12 update in the end of 2021, the Android 13 update in late 2022, and the Android 14 update in late 2023.
