Samsung becomes global soundbar king for the 11th year straight

Samsung knows a thing or two about dominant streaks. Not long after celebrating being at the very top of the global TV market for an impressive 19 consecutive years, the company has now announced that it has become the global leader in soundbars for the 11th year straight.

Much of this success can be attributed to the exceptional sound experiences that these Samsung devices provide, in addition to their seamless integration with the company's great TV products.

The latest figures from market research firm FutureSource Consulting reveal that Samsung accounted for a 20.1% revenue share of the global soundbar market in 2024. It also accounted for 18.4% of the total sales volume last year.

Samsung continues to go from strength to strength in this market, having taken the first spot on the list way back in 2014. While there are quite a few solid soundbar products available from other brands in the market, none have been able to threaten the Korean giant's dominance.

The company has also achieved considerable success with its flagship HW-Q990D soundbar that was launched in 2024. It brought the Q-Symphony technology, enabling users to synchronize the audio between Samsung soundbars and TVs. It even brought AI-powered audio optimization features.

Samsung continues to build upon this momentum with its new 2025 lineup that brings new and enhanced AI features, better connectivity, and significantly improved audio processing to further take the home audio experience to new heights.
