Samsung enables fun interactive experiences for New York Mets fans

Samsung Electronics America and the New York Mets signed a multi-year partnership a few years ago, with the Korean tech giant proudly taking on the role of the professional baseball team's display and technology partner in 2021. Last week, Samsung again demonstrated how its advanced display solutions can bring value to Mets fans.

Samsung Display has equipped the New York Mets' pop-up shop in Union Square with displays that enable interactive experiences. The pop-up shop houses a batter's box that combines advanced sensors from Diamond Kinetics and a 98-inch Samsung QHC Series Display. Shop visitors can enter the batter's box and swing for the fences to see how their swing compares to current Mets players.

Everything is displayed on the 98-inch Samsung display, and fans can even see which Mets player their swing most resembles.

In addition, the Mets House N.Y.C. pop-up shop allows fans to experience the MLB: The Show simulation video game through the Samsung QHC Series Display.

Samsung also installed two other high-resolution 85-inch QMC Series Commercial Displays for fans who want to learn more about the history of the Mets or watch highlights and archival replays of key moments that shaped the legendary team throughout the years.

Samsung Electronics America and the New York Mets first teamed up in 2021, when Samsung began work on making Citi Field the most advanced professional ballpark in MLB.

In 2023, Samsung installed the world's biggest digital scoreboard at the same stadium. And in 2024, Citi Field unveiled a new, one-of-a-kind 3D anamorphic, two-sided LED display Samsung installed in the stadium's concourse.
