Samsung launches Galaxy M06 5G, Galaxy M16 5G in India

As scheduled, Samsung has launched two new M-series smartphones in India, the Galaxy M06 5G and the Galaxy M16 5G. This also happens to be their global debut. While the former is based on the Galaxy A06 5G, the latter is based on the Galaxy A16 5G. Let’s take a look at their specifications, prices, and availability details.

The Galaxy M06 5G starts at INR 9,499, whereas, the Galaxy M16 starts at INR 11,499. You can check out variant-wise prices below. Both phones will be available exclusively from Amazon India from 12 PM on 5 March 2025. Samsung says that these are introductory prices, which means that it could bump the prices in the near future.

Galaxy M06 5G specifications

The Galaxy M06 5G has a 6.7-inch display with LCD technology, HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. Samsung has packed it with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and is shipping the phone with Android 15-based One UI 7.0. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging speed and a microSD card slot.

As for imaging, the Galaxy M06 5G has two cameras at the rear, a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get an 8MP camera. Connectivity options include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone measures 167.4 x 77.4 x 8mm.
