Samsung has released a new software update to the international variant of the Galaxy S23 FE (SM-S711B). It brings the June 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues.
The update carries firmware version S711BXXS8EYEA. Currently, the South Korean tech giant is rolling it out in at least two regions: the Caucasus Countries and India.
To update your Galaxy S23 FE with the June 2025 security patch, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. The other way is to download the firmware from the Internet, then use Samsung’s Odin tool on a Windows PC to install it manually on your device. One of the places you can download the update from is our firmware section.
We expect Samsung to release it to other variants of the Galaxy S23 FE, including factory-unlocked and carrier-locked variants for the US (SM-S711U and SM-S711U1), and those for Canada (SM-S711W), Hong Kong (SM-S7110), and Korea (SM-S711N), in the next few days.
Galaxy S23 FE is eligible to get the Android 16 (One UI 8) update
Samsung is testing Android 16-based One UI 8.0, and the Galaxy S23 FE is eligible to get it. While it is not as big of an update as the Android 15-based One UI 7.0, it does bring significant upgrades, which you can check out here. Unfortunately, there’s no information about when Samsung will start rolling out its stable version or when it will offer that to the Galaxy S23 FE.
