You can finally try Google’s AI tool that controls your Chrome browser for you
Who has time to use Google Chrome when you can make the AI do it.
- Google’s Project Mariner AI web browser can now perform more advanced tasks, and more of them, simultaneously.
- Broader developer access to Mariner will be available later this summer.
- Anyone can try Project Mariner for themselves right now as part of the new Google AI Ultra subscription.
To no one’s surprise, this year’s Google I/O has been all about AI, AI, and more AI. Among all that AI talk are some updates to Google’s Project Mariner.
Announced last December, Mariner is an AI agent that can control Google Chrome on your behalf and perform specific browser tasks for you. You type in a command for what you want Mariner to do, and it handles everything automatically — including the ability to move your mouse cursor, navigate to different websites, select buttons/forms on said websites, and more.
