If you've used multiple Samsung accounts on different devices and haven't signed into one of them for a while, you may want to do so, because Samsung has notified users that it will begin deleting accounts that have been inactive for 24 months starting July 31st, 2025.
Samsung says that this is being done in the interest of ensuring that the data of users who haven't used their accounts for two years remain protected.
Log into the account before July 31st to save it
The company has informed users about implementing an inactive Samsung account policy. This is meant to protect the data of users who haven't used their Samsung account for an extended period of time.
With this policy in place, Samsung accounts that haven't been logged into or used for 24 months will be deemed inactive and they will be deleted. When an account is deleted, access will be restricted and all of the data linked to that account will be deleted.
If you have not used an account for two years now, it would be best to log into it or use a Samsung service or product while logged into the account so that it's no longer considered inactive. Samsung has said that accounts and data once deleted can't be restored.
This policy goes into effect on July 31st, 2025, so you have until then to do the needful. Samsung will send notifications to the email address associated with inactive accounts so that users have a last chance to retain their accounts.
