Galaxy Buds Core have bigger batteries than Galaxy Buds FE

The Galaxy Buds FE are currently Samsung's cheapest wireless earbuds. However, the company appears to be making changes to the branding of its successor, which will likely be called the Galaxy Buds Core. This information was revealed a few days ago via the FCC certification. Now, their battery capacity has been uncovered, and things look good on that front.

Galaxy Buds Core might have biggest earbuds batteries in Samsung's lineup

The Galaxy Buds Core are identified by the model number SM-R410, and they were recently spotted in the Nemko certification. Norges Elektriske Materiellkontroll (Nemko) is a Norwegian private firm that assists in safety testing of electrical equipment. According to their database, the Galaxy Buds Core have a 500mAh battery inside the case, while the individual earbuds are listed to have a battery capacity of 200mAh (likely 100mAh in each earbud).

So, the Galaxy Buds Core's battery capacity appears to be higher than that of the Galaxy Buds FE, which have a 479mAh battery in the case and 60mAh batteries in each earbud. Unless Samsung uses a much older chipset, the Galaxy Buds Core should last longer than the Galaxy Buds FE.

In comparison, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have a 48mAh battery in each earbud and a 515mAh battery inside the charging case. Samsung's flagship earbuds still appear to have the biggest battery in the charging case, but the Galaxy Buds Core could have the highest battery capacity when it comes to the earbuds themselves.

Previous report made it clear that the Galaxy Buds Core have Bluetooth 5.x (likely Bluetooth v5.4). Its features could include high-quality codecs like AAC and SSC, three microphones on each side, and touch controls. Samsung may or may not equip it with ANC. Its charging case likely has a USB Type-C charging port, but it isn't clear if it will have wireless charging capabilities.

The Galaxy Buds Core could be launched later this year and might have a Galaxy Buds 3 Pro-like design with stems for better controls.
