Galaxy M56 with 50MP OIS camera goes on sale in India

Last week, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M56, its new mid-range smartphone for emerging markets. Starting today, the phone is available for purchase in India. You can buy it from Amazon India and Samsung's online stores.

The Galaxy M56 comes in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB. The 128GB version of the phone costs INR 27,999, while the 256GB version is priced at INR 30,999. You can get an instant discount of INR 3,000 on both variants if you purchase it using any credit or debit card.

It is available in two colors: Black and Light Green.

The Galaxy M56 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It has slimmer bezels than the Galaxy M55. It features an in-display fingerprint reader, but lacks stereo speakers and any dust and water resistance rating.

The phone is equipped with the Exynos 1480 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It has a microSD card slot for storage space expansion by up to an additional 1TB. The device runs Android 15-based One UI 7.0 out of the box, and Samsung has promised to offer six major Android OS updates to the phone.

It has a 12MP front-facing camera with Super HDR and up to 4K 30fps HDR video recording. On the rear, it has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The primary rear camera also supports 4K 30fps HDR video recording.

The Galaxy M56 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. It is 7.2mm thin and weighs 180g, which makes it lighter and slimmer than many other competing phones in the mid-range segment.
