Samsung is releasing the One UI 7 update for dozens of devices simultaneously, and the newest Galaxy device to get the update is the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro. The rugged tablet is getting the One UI 7 update in South Korea. It could reach other countries very soon.
Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro gets Android 15 and One UI 7 in Korea
The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now available for the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro in South Korea. The OTA (over-the-air) update comes bearing firmware version T636NKOU8DYE8 and has a download size of around 3GB. It includes the May 2025 security patch that makes the device more secure compared to earlier.
If you have a Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro and live in South Korea, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The tablet will then restart after a few minutes of installation procedure.

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro was launched in August 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The tablet received the Android 13 (One UI 5) update in December 2022 and the Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update in December 2023. It will get one more Android OS (Android 16 and One UI 8) update in the next few months.
Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro One UI 7 features
One UI 7 update brings a redesigned interface with two separate pages for Notifications and Quick Panel, smoother animations and transitions, renewed app icon designs, bigger notifications, a more customizable Quick Panel (with volume slider included), new widgets (for home and lock screens), and widget customization options.
You can set the taskbar to hide automatically when you launch an app. It will reappear when you slide up from the bottom of the screen slightly. One UI 7 also brings more home screen and lock screen customization options.
The update brings Now Bar, which shows ongoing activities, such as maps navigation, media playback, sports scores, stopwatch, and timer. Samsung has also improved the Camera app's design for better one-handed usage. The app also received better grid lines and Filters.
The built-in image editor and video editor have also been improved with One UI 7. Management of app and floating app windows has been made easier. You can group alarms and edit them, manage calendar entries and reminders, and check file information in an easier way.
Modes and Routines have also been improved with the addition of new conditions and actions. File sharing and connections with Nearby Devices have been made better as well. One UI 7 also brings better accessibility, privacy, and security features. More battery health protection features are also a part of the new software.
