One UI 7 rolling out for Galaxy S21 FE in Europe, Asia

Samsung has finally released the much-awaited One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S21 FE. The update was released in Asia and Europe yesterday, and it is available for the Exynos and Snapdragon variants of the smartphone. Its availability will expand to more regions in the next few days.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update has been released for the Galaxy S21 FE. It is available in most Asian countries, including India, and Europe with firwmare version G990EXXUDGYD4 for the Exynos model and G990BXXUBHYDB or G990B2XXUBHYDB for the Snapdragon 888 variant. The new update has a download size of around 3.5GB and includes the April 2025 security patch instead of the May 2025 patch.

If you live in Asia or Europe and have the Galaxy S21 FE, you can check for the update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new and appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a computer running the Windows operating system and the Odin tool.

The update brings a new UI design, increased smoothness, several new features, and new and improved Galaxy AI features. It has new app icons, more fluid-looking and playful animations and transitions, a new battery icon, and new charging animations. It also brings improved stock apps, including a new design for the stock Camera app that makes it easier to use the phone with a single hand.

The Galaxy S21 FE was launched in early 2022 with Android 12 and One UI 4 onboard. And Samsung promised to offer four major Android OS updates to the phone. One UI 7 is the third major update for the phone, and One UI 8 could be the last major update for it.
