If there's one thing about the Galaxy S25 Edge that's going to make people want to buy it, it's the incredibly thin profile of the device. It's the reason why the device has been branded “Edge” and the entire reason why it exists in the first place.
There were a lot of rumors prior to the official launch today about how thin the Galaxy S25 Edge is. Several different numbers were thrown around, but we now have the accurate number straight from the proverbial horse's mouth.
It's the thinnest phone in the Galaxy S series
Samsung has confirmed today that the Galaxy S25 Edge is just 5.8mm. This makes it the thinnest smartphone in the Galaxy S series so far and Samsung's thinnest slab-type Android phone. It's a testament to Samsung's engineering prowess and its dedication to pushing the envelop on industrial design.

The company has managed to achieve this svelte frame while keeping the device firmly in the premium category, making it deserving of the Galaxy S name. It's also complemented by the 163g weight of the device, which ensures the winning combination of both thin and lightweight.

Galaxy S25 Edge next to the Galaxy S25 Ultra
Yet, the Galaxy S25 Edge still provides the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the very same that's in all other Galaxy S25 models, with One UI 7 out of the box and the Galaxy AI goodness that comes with it.
Durability has been ensured through the use of Corning's latest Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front display, which is highly resilient and provides superior drop protection. The device will be available in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack and Titanium Icyblue starting May 30 in most major markets across the globe.
