The Galaxy A15 5G has started getting its first major One UI update. The entry-level phone is now getting the One UI 7 update in India. Its 4G version received the same update two weeks ago in South Korea and earlier this week in several other countries.

Galaxy A15 5G gets One UI 7 (Android 15) update in India
The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update has been released in India. It comes with firmware version A156EDXU5CYE9 and has a download size of around 3GB. The update brings a new UI design, smoother animations and transitions, Now Bar, new and improved features, better designed stock apps, improved privacy and security options, and more battery health protection features.

The update also includes the May 2025 security patch that improves the phone's security compared to the earlier software version.
If you own a Galaxy A15 5G and live in India, you can check for the new update on your phone. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update » Download and install on your device. Then, once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button. The phone will then finish the installation process and reboot after a few minutes. You can then start using One UI 7.0.
The Galaxy A15 5G was launched in December 2023 with Android 14 onboard. The phone has now received its first Android OS update. It will get two more Android OS updates in the future, as promised by Samsung during the phone's launch.
