One UI 7 update rolling out to Galaxy Z Fold 3 in USA

Samsung has released the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the USA. This is the oldest Galaxy Z Fold series phone from Samsung that is eligible to get the One UI 7.0 update. Previous foldable phones won't get this major update.

We reported about the Galaxy Z Flip 3 getting the update earlier today.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is rolling out for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the USA. Currently the update is available for the carrier-locked units of the phone. The update comes with the firmware version F926USQUAKYD9 for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The update has a download size of around 5GB and includes the April 2025 security patch. If you have carrier-locked model of the phone in the USA, you can check for the new update by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install.

The new software update was released in South Korea earlier this week. The new update could also be released in other countries and regions in the comind days and weeks.

Android 15 is the last major update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The foldable phone was launched in the second half of 2021 with Android 11 onboard. It received the Android 12 update in the end of 2021, the Android 13 update in late 2022, and the Android 14 update in late 2023.
