In the last few years, more and more Chinese smartphone manufacturers have been increasingly using Samsung’s 200MP camera sensors for their devices. Initially, they used these sensors for the primary camera, and lately, they’ve been using them for telephoto/periscope cameras. However, we didn’t know that these brands like Samsung’s 200MP cameras so much so that they may use multiple of these sensors in a single device.
According to a new report about Oppo’s upcoming non-foldable flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, it may use not one but two 200MP camera sensors, one for the primary camera and one for the telephoto/periscope camera. Considering that Samsung is the only brand making 200MP camera sensors for smartphones at the moment, it is safe to assume that Oppo is using Samsung’s 200MP camera for its upcoming phone.

Samsung offers five ISOCELL 200MP cameras
At the moment, there’s no information about which of Samsung’s 200MP cameras Oppo is going to use for the Find X9 Ultra. Currently, Samsung offers five 200MP camera sensors for smartphones: ISOCELL HP9 (2024), ISOCELL HP2 (2023), ISOCELL HPX (2022), ISOCELL HP3 (2022), and ISOCELL HP1 (2021). Considering that Chinese brands usually go with the latest hardware on the market, Oppo may choose ISOCELL HP9 for the Find X9 Ultra.
The ISOCELL HP9 has a 1/1.4-inch sensor size. It can record 8K resolution videos at 30 FPS and 4K resolution videos at 120 FPS. The Find X9 Ultra will feature a quad-camera setup, with the other two cameras being a 50MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto/periscope camera. Other specs may include a 6.82-inch OLED display with QHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC, and Android 16.
