Samsung has released a new update for its Good Lock platform. It appears to be rolling out globally, but some users affected by a Good Lock bug won't get all the benefits. More on that later.

With this update, Samsung is pushing Good Lock to version 3.0.12.2. The new release is available only through the Galaxy Store but should eventually land on the Play Store. Here's what's new.

The official changelog Samsung shared through the Galaxy Store mentions the following items.

  • Improved the visibility of new posts for better readability.
  • Enhanced overall app stability for a smoother user experience.

The second entry should be self-explanatory. Good Lock version 3.0.12.2 improves the platform's stability and performance. That's always a welcome change.

As for the first entry in the changelog, it's a bit more cryptic but likely has to do with the Terrace tab, which the Good Lock team uses to share posts containing features, updates, and more. These posts should now be easier to read thanks to a slight redesign.

We mentioned earlier that not everyone will notice these changes in the latest Good Lock version. The reason is that the Terrace tab in the Good Lock app still doesn't show up for everyone.

Back in April, a Good Lock moderator on the official Samsung Community forums stated that this bug was caused by network connection failures. The moderator also stated that the issue would be fixed with the release of the next version of Good Lock, but that doesn't seem to have happened yet. We tested Good Lock version 3.0.12.2 on two phones in two regions, and one still doesn't show the Terrace tab.

Regardless of whether or not you have access to Terrace announcements, you should be able to grab this new Good Lock update from the Galaxy Store. Or you can wait for the update to drop on the Play Store. We will keep you posted if we find out more about Samsung fixing the aforementioned bug.
