Samsung Health update improves Sleep Score, Trends, Accessibility

Samsung Health is getting a new update aimed at improving several aspects of the UI, particularly regarding Sleep Score and Trends. Additionally, the official changelog says Samsung enhanced its Accessibility to comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

The update pushes Samsung Health to version 6.30.1.003. However, you might have trouble finding it if you're trying to download it through the Galaxy Store.

The update appears to be available only through the Google Play Store, at least for now. Your mileage might vary based on region.

As far as new features go, we briefly compared the latest version with the previous one and took a few screenshots for you to have a closer look. First, the official Samsung Health 6.30.1.003 changelog states the following.

  • Review your Sleep Score factors by grade; now, we offer guidelines instead of numbers to help you better understand!

From what we can tell, not much has changed in this regard compared to the previous Samsung Health version. However, some visual changes have been implemented.

Moving on, here's what the changelog specifically mentions about the addition of more reports.

  • You can now view your extended health trends beyond a week through the Monthly and Yearly Reports on My Page, which will help you achieve better health outcomes.

This appears to be a more significant change. The graphs look different, and indeed, you can now access Monthly and Yearly reports through the drop-down menu at the top of the summary page.

However, the Group comparison tab for Average daily active minutes, Average daily steps, and average daily sleep duration appears to have been removed — or at least relocated to where we haven't been able to find it yet.

New Samsung Health version

As for the accessibility enhancements, we can't see how things have changed, and the changelog is rather vague.

In any case, if you plan on getting this Samsung Health update, you might want to look it up in the Google Play Store rather than the Galaxy Store. You can download the update from the Play Store regardless of where you first downloaded the app.

Alternatively, you can wait for Samsung to publish this new Health version through the Galaxy Store. Or you might be in luck, and version 6.30.1.003 is already out through the Galaxy Store in your region.
