Samsung sponsored runs hint at Galaxy Unpacked in New York City

Samsung hasn't directly confirmed any details regarding the next Galaxy Unpacked event, but it's been dropping hints. The closer we get to July, the more likely it seems that this summer's Unpacked will take place in New York City.

Today, Samsung announced a series of upcoming Samsung Health events dedicated to runners and Galaxy wearable users. And wouldn't you know it? The event will kick off on July 13 in New York City.

In case you missed the previous rumors, New York City is said to be Samsung's location of choice for the next Unpacked event, where the company will unveil its latest foldable phones and smartwatches.

Speaking of Galaxy wearables, Samsung has just partnered with two of New York City's largest run clubs, Almost Friday Run Club and Midnight Runners New York, to host sponsored runs next month and raise awareness about how Galaxy wearable devices can help runners gain better results. It sounds like a nice campaign to promote the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series.

At these sponsored events, Samsung will bring its expertise and highlight the importance of rest and recovery as part of any runner's training plan. Because no matter how hard you train, you won't get far without proper rest.

In partnership with NYCRuns, Samsung will provide interactive rest stations for runners. Each rest station will feature a hydration station and a stretching area. Samsung will share tips with runners and show them how the Energy Score tool and sleep data insights in Samsung Health can improve their performance.

Samsung says the first sponsored run is set to take place on July 13 at the NYCRuns Queens Ice Cream Social 5K. Better yet, the event is open to the public, and willing participants can register through this dedicated NYCRuns webpage.
