Last week, Samsung detailed the June 2025 security patch, which fixes 19 security issues, and earlier today, the company offered it to the Galaxy S25 series, making these phones the first to get it. Well, the brand is now rolling it out to the Galaxy A56, making it the second device to get the latest security update.
Samsung has released a software update to the Galaxy A56. It offers the June 2025 security patch. For now, the company is offering it to the variant of the smartphone that it sells in some parts of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It has the model number SM-A566B. The update carries firmware version A566BXXS4AYE5.
We expect Samsung to expand the Galaxy A56’s June 2025 security patch to other variants of the phone and in other countries in the next few days. To check if Samsung has made the update available for your device, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
If you don’t see an update, it means that you will have to wait a little more. If you don’t want to wait, you can head to our firmware section, download the firmware, and use a Windows PC and Odin to install the update on your Galaxy A56. Before taking this route, we recommend you to back up your data.
