Samsung will open a restaurant where Galaxy AI makes the dishes

Samsung's use of AI to improve its Bespoke kitchen appliances is nothing new, but the company has found a much more unique way to showcase the power of Galaxy AI through cooking.

Samsung will soon open a pop-up restaurant in Portugal, where every dish is unique and made by Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S25 premium phone. The restaurant is called Sem Igual, which roughly translates to Without Equal or Unique. Here's how it works.

Sem Igual diners will be offered a Galaxy S25 at their table, which they will use to photograph their desired ingredients. They can pick one source of protein, one carbohydrate, three vegetables, and a sauce.

Galaxy AI will use the photos to create a one-of-a-kind recipe based on the chosen ingredients. The AI-generated recipe will then be passed to the kitchen, where Chef João Dourado will prepare the dish.

Samsung Portugal has launched the following video to promote the AI pop-up restaurant. The video says Sem Igual is the restaurant that doesn't serve two identical dishes.

The video description also states that the AI will pick from 25 ingredients, leading to thousands of possible combinations.

Although access to the Sem Igual experience will be free, Samsung's AI-driven restaurant will be open in Lisbon for only two days, on May 8 and 9 (via EuroWeekly).

Samsung will then bring the experience to Porto, where another Sem Igual pop-up Galaxy AI restaurant will be open on May 16 and 17.

No doubt, the point of this experience is to showcase the power of Galaxy AI and how it, and the Galaxy S25, can help you decide what to cook given a list of ingredients.

Nevertheless, the real cooking will be done by a real Chef, which no AI can replace yet. Galaxy AI might not be able to turn you into a better cook overnight, but it might help you get inspired in the kitchen.
