Samsung’s takes new step to improve sales of OLED TVs

Samsung relaunched OLED TVs in 2022 after a gap of almost a decade, and it is doing extremely well in the segment. Its OLED TVs have consistently ranked among the top three in terms of picture quality ever since the launch of its first QD-OLED TV (S95B). Now, the South Korean firm is trying to boost the sales of its OLED TVs.

Fun fact: Samsung's first OLED TV was the ES9500, which was launched in 2012.

Samsung has launched its ‘Samsung OLED Trade-In' program in South Korea so that more people upgrade to OLED TVs. Starting today, people who trade in their old TVs to buy a new Samsung OLED TV will get KRW 300,000 (~$210) worth of Samsung Electronics Membership points. Buyers can trade in TVs made by any brand.

Those who buy a Samsung OLED TV with Glare Free technology launched in 2025 also stand a chance at winning Shinsegae Mobile gift certificates worth up to KRW 200,000 (~$140). They need to leave a review of the Glare Free feature on Samsung's website.

Samsung's new OLED TV lineup has useful AI features

A few days ago, Samsung launched its new OLED TV lineup in South Korea. It features three OLED TV models: S85F, S90F, and S95F. Only the S95F features the Glare Free 2.0 coating that reduces glare and reflections to improve the overall TV watching experience.

The new TVs also feature faster processors, new AI features, and a newer version of Tizen OS (9.0). They feature Click to Search which offers information about food, people, or other things visible on the screen. They also offer real-time language translation in the form of subtitles. The Home Insights feature offers personalized smart home device recommendations via SmartThings.
