The industry expects Samsung to expand its foldable device portfolio this year. On the cheaper side, the company is preparing the first Fan Edition Z Flip phone for a 2025 launch. On the more ambitious side, Samsung may release its first tri-fold device, the so-called Galaxy G Fold, in the coming months.
More pricing and release details about the Galaxy tri-fold device have been tipped (via @heyitsyogesh). And if this latest bit of information turns out to be accurate, Samsung's tri-fold will be very limited and relatively expensive.
Samsung will supposedly release its tri-fold phone in just two markets, much like it did the ultra-thin and S Pen-free Galaxy Z Fold SE last year. In other words, the tri-fold may only be available in South Korea and China.
The rumored launch timeframe is Q3 2025. So, by September this year, Samsung might finally show off what it has been cooking in the tri-fold department.
Lastly, the rumor states that the phone will not only be available in limited markets but also in limited quantities. Furthermore, it won't be cheap. Samsung may expect fans to pay between $3,000 and $3,500 for its first tri-fold Galaxy device.
For reference, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is available in Korea for 2,180,600 won ($1,577), while the Galaxy Z Fold SE debuted for 2,789,600 won ($2,017). The tri-fold Galaxy phone may be more than twice as expensive as the regular Z Fold.

Take all these rumors with a pinch of salt. Although Samsung, at the first Unpacked event of the year, indirectly confirmed its plans to release a tri-fold Galaxy phone, the company hasn't outright said anything about precise launch dates, availability, and pricing.
So far, it looks like Samsung is keeping the tri-fold phone a secret rather successfully. And plans can change at any time. Nevertheless, given that the company couldn't release the Fold SE worldwide, it stands to reason that the more ambitious tri-fold phone could also be very difficult to obtain.
