T-Mobile's Starlink satellite-to-mobile service has been available in beta for users in the United States with select Samsung and other Android phones. The carrier had said that it would commercially launch the service in the country later this year.

As of July 23 the T-Mobile Starlink service, officially called T-Satellite, will be live nationwide across the United States. Users with an eligible Samsung Galaxy phone, a different Android phone, or an iOS device can use it when outside the network's coverage.

Limited data service to be available from October 1, 2025

Cell coverage is not available in more than 500,000 square miles of territory across the United States. The satellite service will thus provide users a vital link to the world even when they're in some of the most remote regions of the country.

As of now, T-Satellite will support SMS, MMS, picture messaging, and short audio clips on Android phones. Starting October 1, it's also going to support data, albeit in a limited manner. It's not like you'll be able to endlessly scroll TikTok with the data bouncing off Starlink satellites.

Those on the carrier's Experience Beyond plan will be able to access T-Satellite for no extra charge. Everyone else, including Verizon and AT&T customers, can access the service for $10 per month.

T-Mobile has said that it's working with a select group of widely used apps to provide people in remote regions with connectivity. These include the likes of AccuWeather, Google, AllTrails, WhatsApp, and X. A wide variety of Samsung Galaxy phones are eligible for the T-Satellite service, including the Galaxy S21 series and all later models, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Z Fold 3 and up, as well as the Galaxy A36 and the X Cover 7 Pro.
