Since the Galaxy S25 Edge is ultra-thin and lightweight, some people were skeptical about its durability. Samsung did claim earlier this year that the phone will survive everyday usage without any issues. But what about brutal bend tests like the one from JerryRigEverything?

Well, the phone has passed the bend test with flying colors.

The Galaxy S25 Edge's frame is made using titanium, which makes it stronger than phones with an aluminum frame. Its front is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while its rear is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is also IP68 rated for resistance from dust and water.

The device did not bend and break into half despite some strong attempts made by JerryRigEverything (Zack). Its frame was also quite hard to scratch despite using a sharp blade. You can watch the entire bend test video below.

The phone's Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 panel started getting sratched using a Moh's Grade 6 hardness pick, and deeper grooves start appearing on it when it was scratched with a Moh's Grade 7 hardness pick. The phone's double camera bump did not come apart from the phone's back panel despite being flexed with a blade. So, you don't need to worry about it.

The Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen did not burn or have any permanent damage even after facing heat from a cigarette lighter for 30 seconds straight, which makes it quite impressive. In comparison, screens on several other phones showcase damage after facing fire in a similar test.

JerryRigEverything said in their video that they expected the Galaxy S25 Edge to bend and break due to its thin body, but they were genuinely surprised by the phone's integrity and strength despite its ultra-thin form factor. In comparison, the latest iPad Pro did bend and break into pieces quite easily.
