Galaxy S25 FE gets an upgraded selfie camera after two years

It appears that Samsung is finally upgrading the selfie camera on its FE model. New information has surfaced regarding the Galaxy S25 FE that's due later this year, suggesting that it's going to have an upgraded front camera.

Samsung has retained the same selfie camera on the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S24 FE, so it's about time that this vital component was enhanced.

Our friends over at GalaxyClub have discovered that the Galaxy S25 FE will feature a 12-megapixel selfie camera. This would bring it in line with the regular Galaxy S25 series, as far as the resolution is concerned.

The last FE model to get a front camera upgrade was the Galaxy S23 FE. It came with a 10-megapixel front-facing camera that was previously used on the Galaxy S21 and S22 series. Last year's Galaxy S24 FE retained the same 10-megapixel front camera.

This resolution bump on the upcoming affordable variant means that you'll be able to take better selfies with the Galaxy S25 FE. The primary sensor on the back doesn't seem to be getting an upgrade, though, as the report mentions that it's once again going to be a 50-megapixel, like it has been on the past two models.

Samsung is due to launch the Galaxy S25 FE later this year, potentially by September or October. We may also see the Galaxy Z Flip FE being launched alongside this device, which would be the first affordable variant of its clamshell foldable phone.
