Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE’s competitor from Motorola reaches India

Samsung is going to launch its next set of foldable smartphones in July. It is expected to have three devices: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. While the first and the second devices are successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the third will be an all-new device, an affordable version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, making foldable phones accessible to more people.

When Samsung launches the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, it will have a direct competitor, the Motorola Razr 60, which the brand launched last month. Now, Motorola’s foldable phone has reached India, and that too, at a very lucrative price, making the situation harder for Samsung’s upcoming affordable foldable phone.

Motorola launches Razr 60 in India

Motorola has launched the Moto Razr 60 in India at INR 49,999. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 sells between INR 75,000 and INR 80,000 in the country nowadays. Despite being almost INR 30,000 cheaper, the Moto Razr 60 offers a feature set almost as good as that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

It offers a 6.9-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. MediaTek Dimensity 7400X SoC, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 50MP wide + 13MP ultra-wide camera setup, 32MP selfie camera, 4,500mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging, stereo speakers, and IP48 rating for water and dust resistance.

It poses a serious threat to Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE

With that, many people may choose the one from Motorola instead of the one from Samsung, which will make a big dent in the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s sales.

Considering that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may offer hardware inferior to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, overall, while costing at least as much as the Moto Razr 60, it will have a hard time competing with the one from Motorola, at least in India.
