One UI 7 rolling out to Galaxy A73 in India

The third major Android OS update is now rolling out to the Galaxy A73 in India. The One UI 7 update was released to the phone in South Korea last week. Now, it has been released in India, and it brings lots of new and improved features to the premium mid-range phone.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update has been released for the Galaxy A73 in India. The update comes with firmware version A736BXXUAFYE6 and has a download size of around 3.7GB. It also includes the May 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure against vulnerabilities.

If you are a Galaxy A73 user in India, you should check your phone for the new update right away. You can do that by heading over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install Now button. The phone will restart after a few minutes, and you can start using One UI 7.0.

In other countries and regions, the update could be released this week or the next week. Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update could reach the Galaxy A73 before the end of this year, and it will be the last major Android OS update for the phone.

One UI 7 brings a completely redesigned and more modern-looking UI. It includes new app icons and more fluidic and playful animations and transitions. Samsung has added a lot more widgets for the home screen and the lock screen. Home screen widgets are now more customizable. There is a new battery charging animation and new battery icon on the status bar.

Notifications and Quick Panel have been divided into two separate pages. Notifications can be accessed by swiping down from the middle or left part of the screen's top, while the Quick Panel can be accessed by swiping down from the top right part of the screen. Notifications now appear in bigger pill-shaped elements, while Quick Panel is now more customizable.

All the stock Samsung apps have received new features and a slightly refreshed UI design. Samsung has added more conditions and features to Modes And Routines. Google's Gemini can be set as the default AI assistant for the Galaxy A73 and it can be accessed by long pressing the power button.
