One UI folders have an annoying bug that may be Good Lock-related

Samsung finally made the Home Up module available to global users this week. It's a powerful Good Lock app that adds a lot of new options for One UI home screen customization. But if you intend to use it, be warned! It may have an annoying bug that might catch you off guard. Even worse, this issue could be related to One UI rather than Good Lock, but more on that later.

Here's the situation. A Samsung Community user on the Korean forums described the issue and demonstrated it through a short video. What is the One UI folder bug? When selecting and uninstalling multiple apps from a folder in One UI, the last app icon can remain intact and can't be removed.

Here's the solution. Well, there is none for now, but Samsung intends to release a software update to fix the problem, as confirmed by a Community moderator. In translation:

And here is where things get a bit confusing. The option to uninstall multiple apps from a folder at once is available in the standard One UI experience without Good Lock and Home Up.

However, the original Community poster claims they are using the Good Lock Home Up module for minor layout changes. The administrator who replied to the issue was the Good Lock Manager, and they responded as the Good Lock support team.

In other words, this could be strictly a One UI issue, but because the complaint was handled by the Good Lock Manager and the original poster uses Home Up, it is possible that this bug is strictly related to the Good Lock app rather than the base One UI experience.

With that in mind, if you don't want to run into app icons you can't remove, you shouldn't take any chances. Whether or not you decide to avoid Home Up for a while, the one thing to keep in mind is to never uninstall all the apps inside a folder at once. Otherwise, you might end up with app icons that persist.
