It's been a while since the Galaxy Watch 6 received a new firmware update, but Samsung is fixing this. A new software version is now live for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic to improve the wearable's security.
At present, the update appears to be available only in Korea. There aren't too many details available, apart from a screenshot shared by a Samsung Community member in Korea who received the new update on the Bluetooth Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The translation doesn't reveal anything out of the ordinary.
Presumably, the update is also rolling out for LTE-enabled Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and the Bluetooth and LTE Galaxy Watch 6 (non-Classic versions).

There is no timeline as to when this new update might reach other markets, but if you own the Galaxy Watch 6 or Watch 6 Classic, you can check for new firmware through one of the following methods:
- Open the Settings app on your Watch, scroll down to Software update, and tap Download and install.
- Open the Wearable app on your connected smartphone, select your Galaxy Watch 6, access Watch settings, scroll to Watch software update, and tap Download and install.
