WhatsApp constantly keeps adding new features, and it is now bringing more ways to let you express yourself via status updates. Meta usually releases new features first to Instagram and then some of them make their way to WhatsApp. Something similar happened this time, too, as status updates on WhatsApp now support photo collages, photo stickers, and more music options.
WhatsApp status updates now feature Layouts, Photo Stickers, and more music options
You can soon add photo collages to your status updates on WhatsApp. Meta is calling this feature Layouts, similar to what it calls the same feature on Instagram. You can choose up to six images in a collage layout. You can arrange them as per your liking using WhatsApp's editing tools.
Any photo can be turned into a sticker and uploaded to your WhatsApp status update. You can resize and reshape them using advanced but easy-to-use tools available inside the app. You can also choose your picture and use the ‘Add Yours' option to invite friends to a conversation. When they respond to your prompt, they can share it to their status as well.
You can share your favorite music by making a status update entirely about that music track. You can also use a music sticker to your status updates.
All these new features will start rolling out soon to Android and iOS devices, which means you can start seeing them on WhatsApp on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet. However, the rollout could take months before they are available for all WhatsApp users.
